Go to developers.facebook.com → Create App → Business type.
Add the WhatsApp product to your app.
In WhatsApp → API Setup, click Add phone number and complete verification.
You'll receive a 6-digit code via call or SMS to your dedicated business number.

Phone Number ID: Meta → App → WhatsApp → API Setup → Phone numbers section. It's the 15-17 digit number next to your number.

Permanent Access Token: Meta Business Manager → System Users → Add System User (Admin role) → Generate Token → Select your WhatsApp app → Check whatsapp_business_messaging and whatsapp_business_management scopes → Copy token immediately (it won't show again).

After connecting above, copy the Webhook URL shown here.
In Meta → App → WhatsApp → Configuration → Webhooks:
· Paste the webhook URL
· Enter the verify token shown above
· Click Verify and Save
· Subscribe to: messages, message_deliveries, message_reads

Once the webhook is verified, use the Send Test Message button above.
Send a WhatsApp message to your business number — EMILIA should respond within 2 seconds.

Common issues:
· Token expired → Use a permanent System User token, not a temporary one
· Webhook not verified → Check the URL is exactly as shown (no trailing slash)
· No response → Ensure the phone number is in production mode, not sandbox
